I will be posting pics soon...the viewer should enjoy the images as they are...its more of an exploration in photography...lighting, color and composition...dont worry too much about who is who...although the subjects should be obvious...some will be obvious, some subtle...for example, a picture of a sunset is just that...others like, "teach me how to surf" is a set of images of some locals teaching the tourists (kids from Buffalo, NY) how to surf (thats pretty straight forward)....it was really cool to witness...im interested in photojournalism (action shots, not posed) so thats the style I really want to pursue...and most importantly, my intention is to just capture the vibe of La Playa Tamarindo, which is obviously, where surfers from around the world come to surf and go on adventures in nature...there are a ton of shots of random people surfing and or just hangin on the beach enjoying life...and again, its just that...what they wear, what they look like, what they eat, what they drink....get it?
we met people from Italy, Brazil, Indiana, Georgia, Nicaragua, France, Canada, Connecticut and the list goes on...I also took shots of the locals who we became friends with...like Delbert (Del-man), "the craziest surfer mothaf**ker in Costa Rica"...and our neighbor, Mike (Big Mike from Connecticut)...i hope you guys are reading this...
and of course I took great shots of my love, Brian (bree-AHN in spanish) doin his surfing thing too!
oh and there will be videos too, of yours truly, gettin up on the soft top!
to be continued...pura vida!
